A number of children in Albania have disabilities, learning difficulties and other special needs. Sometimes their families and state-run organisations do not know how to properly care for them. OM in Albania is working in one of the eight state-run centres for children and teens with special needs. Together with a local church, OM in Albania is also running a programme called “Sweet Mess” that focuses on showing God’s love to children with disabilities and their families. Our vision is for Albanian people who are marginalised because of physical or mental conditions to hear the message of what Jesus has done for us, have the opportunity for education and therapy and be surrounded by people who share the love of Christ in practical ways also. This ministry also provides physiotherapy to different people in need.
