During the relief efforts after a strong, devastating earthquake in Albania in 2019, we were exposed to a lot of poverty. This awakened our desire to do more to help people break this cycle. While working with churches and other Christian organizations, we are building a bridge in getting to share God’s love while providing relief. It also means that local Jesus followers are motivated to serve and meet the needs of those around them.

Doing relief and development in a variety of ways (giving out food parcels or blankets to needy families, providing wood for winter, helping rebuild houses, etc.,) creates community, strengthens the church and glorifies God. We now have a shelter for people who are in emergency situations and also have helped Afghan refugees here in Albania. Additionally, we are working towards beginning a community development project in a needy area in the port city of Durrës.
