As part of its charitable activities, Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd collects personal data from its donors and stakeholders for administration, fundraising, events, seminars, programmes and corporate communication purposes. The Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) establishes a data protection law that comprises various roles governing the collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal data. Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd has adopted a corporate policy for personal data protection in line with PDPA requirements. PDPA recognises both the rights of individuals to protect their personal data, including rights of access and correction, and the needs of organisations to collect, use or disclose personal data for legitimate and reasonable purposes.

Collection of Data

Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd may collect personal data on its website or in various application and response forms. Personal data are collected during fundraising activities, book sales, mission trips, ministry events, seminars, website enquiries and programmes.

Subscription to Newsletters and Data Protection

On the website of Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our organisation's newsletter. Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd uses MailerLite as its online marketing platform to manage newsletter subscription and distribution. MailerLite is authorised to collect and process personal data on behalf of the data controller for the purpose of sending out the organisation's newsletter and statistical analysis. The data protection guideline published by MailerLite provides information on the collection, processing and use of personal data by MailerLite.

Communication and Use of Data

The Board recognises the importance of donor and stakeholder confidentiality and requires the executive leaders to closely adhere to the Singapore statutes and guidelines given by the Personal Data Protection Commission.

Our stakeholders may be contacted periodically on activities, programmes, courses, events, ministry opportunities or benefits available through Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd. We may disclose personal data to staff, volunteers or third-party vendors who may assist us with events, seminars, courses, mission trips, programmes and corporate communications.

Media

As we are a community-based organisation, we often share photographs or videos of Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd activities on our newsletter, website and social media channels. If you attend an Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd activity, your image may be taken in photographs or videos of the event which may be retained and published by Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd.

Donors

Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd is committed to financial integrity, donor confidentiality and accountability. Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd will ensure that donors receive accurate and ethical information about the organisation, and the intended use, value and tax implications of donations. Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd follows the fundraising guidelines and practices set by the Singapore Commissioner of Charities and will ensure that its fundraising activities are transparent and ethical. Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd may wish to acknowledge your donation and if you wish to remain anonymous, you may inform us in a note when you make the donation. Donors may visit the Singapore Charities Portal to search for the current fundraising permits that have been issued to Operation Mobilisation Singapore Ltd.
