Journey Overview
We empower the Spiritual formation of participants, the understanding of God's mission and becoming equipped to reach the least reached. REACH in Ghana exists to inspire and equip Jesus followers to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached.
We will love for you to join us! Individuals applying must be 19+.
Price excludes flights, insurance, visa & any possible vaccinations and is subject to change according to the exchange rate. You are advised to take extra money for snacks, airtime and data. There is an additional charge of 100 dollars for airport transfer.
We recommend you join Getting into Gear weekend (GiG) which you can attend for a weekend either in the May or October before you go. This is a weekend of training and orientation which will be in Shropshire and will cost an additional £75.
As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require an enhanced DBS, which may cost an additional £20.
There is an opportunity for additional Cross Cultural Training once you have completed REACH in Ghana. The purpose of this further 3 month option is to prepare and empower you practically to specialise in your individual ministry focus for an unreached area.

What To Expect
REACH in Ghana Equip participants through Four key Dynamics in order to fulfill our purpose.
- Spirituality: Having deeper intimate relationship with Jesus to know the mysteries in His Kingdom and purpose for your life.
- Relationships: Living in diverse community will enable you to adjust in any cross-cultural endeavor.
- Experience: Giving you all the hands-on concrete skills needed to reach the Least Reached through outreaches etc
- Instructional: Giving you the interactive tools and directions to see you equipped for the nations.
Participant Profile
Age Range: 19-50
Participants needs to
- Be a committed Christian with a call to missions, sent by local Church.
- Should be able to read and write in English. French is an asset.
- Willing to adjust to different conditions and work as a team
- Be between 19years and above.
- Fulfill and abide by OM Ghana policy protection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be accommodation provided?
Singles will live in shared living accommodation whiles Couple (s) live in a self-contain one bedroom.
Will there be food provided?
Trainees will cater for themselves as a team, eating together and rotating /cleaning etc.
Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?
Foreign participants can choose to fly to Kotoka International Airport (Accra) and take a domestic flight (1hr15mins) to Tamale REACH Base or participants can choose to travel by road to Tamale (11 hours' drive) after landing at the Accra Airport. Once picked up whether at the airport or the bus station participants will be taken to the base in Tamale.
Local Trainees need to take a Bus to Tamale for pick from the terminal to the Training Base. Pick up to the base cost $30
What should my health condition be like?
Trainees should be Mentally and Physically stable. Please notify us should there be any dietary allergies, and or any medical history. Also be sure to take your vaccinations necessary and have a medical insurance
Do I need a visa?
Trainees from outside ECOWAS needs volunteer/visitor Visa before arrival. All ECOWAS Trainees will get their visas upon arrival at the Airport.
