Partnership Overview

Leads the Catering team to cater for ships company of around 150 people, as well as catering for onboard events

Required Skills

  • Manage and support the Catering Team Members of the Catering Department, and ensure that the Team Members are being trained and able to work safely, hygienically and efficiently, according to the right procedures and ISM regulations;
  • Ensure that regular, nutritious meals are cooked and provided every day, and supervise all assisting staff with the preparation and storage of the food;
  • Ensure that an overview of all the food provisions are maintained, use the provisions in the most cost-effective way, and manage the quantity and variety of stock until the next shipment of food arrives;
  • Ensure that the galley and bakery remain clean and equipment is functioning well, and ensure that the food is prepared in an efficient, clean and hygienic environment;
  • Ensure that catering for Onboard Events and the International Café is provided, and ensure that the requested needs are being fulfilled.

Essential Requirements:

  • Work experience and/or educational background in the area of Cooking or Catering
  • Knowledge about professional standards of cleanliness and cooking
  • Planning and organizing
  • Communication skills
