A simple and effective way to read the Bible in a Small Group

This method allows anyone to have a Bible discussion anywhere, anytime. The method is widely used in OM in church planting around the world.

The Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a way to find out who God is, who we are, how to live life well, and how to talk about God with others. It encourages discipleship through Bible reading.

The purpose of this method is to find the message of the Bible and put it into practice. Simple, memorable questions help participants understand God's character, encourage them to follow what they learn, and help them share it with others.

The course includes five sessions and is done as a distance learning course via Teams and possibly face-to-face.

MON 3.3.2025 at 18:00-20:00 all together
The times for the four group meetings will be agreed in the small groups and they are 1½ h in lenght

Registration for the course is no later than one (1) week before the start date.

Implementation

The first meeting is between all participants (max. 12 people) via Teams (duration 2 hours). The next four meetings will be in small groups of about four people and the times will be agreed between the small group (duration 1 ½ h) via Teams or face-to-face. The total length of the training is five sessions.

Target

The goal of the training is that after that you can start studying the Bible in a small group using an easy-to-learn method.

Participants

The maximum number of people accepted into a group is 12 participants.The training is for anyone who wants to study the Bible together with others. You do not need to have previous experience as a group leader or otherwise have in-depth knowledge of the Bible. The method is a low-threshold way to get to know the Bible. It is a great way to learn new for people who know the Bible well.
