People growing up in secularising Europe lack a biblical foundation. "The Bible in One Hour" project aims to close this gap through a series of videos explaining books of the Bible.

Europe is becoming more and more secular. Many young people are growing up with very limited or no knowledge of the Bible. As a result, people who come to faith often have no prior Bible knowledge and lack a foundation for their faith.

To meet this need, The Bible in One Hour project was born. It started with a prayer from Martin, OM’s team leader in Belgium, who was asking God to help him reach his secular country. The Bible in One Hour will consist of 60 1-minute videos summarising books of the Bible in a concise and inspiring way. Working in partnership with OM in Belgium, MediaWorks animator Nicky is coordinating a team of volunteer artists to provide illustrations in different art styles, generating AI artwork, and creating the animations.

"It's a huge project and it was overwhelming in the beginning,” said Simon, production coordinator. “But I see God in it, how He brought the right people into the picture, how all partnerships are coming together, and now also how other ministries are getting interested."

The original episodes are being released in English and can be translated into other languages. In future, there is potential for ministries to adapt it for other cultural contexts.
The English version will be completed by the end of October 2024.

Praise God for the progress that has already been made and for all the volunteers who stepped forward to help make it happen. Pray that God would equip them with creativity and ideas. Pray for God’s provision of resources needed so that this project could be finalised and reach the right people. Pray for people who will see the series, to be strengthened in their faith and encouraged to dive deeper into God’s Word.
