Partnership Overview
The Building, Maintenance and Repair worker will work with the Head of Buildings to keep ZavCentre functioning as it is now, and to create the new ZavCentre, including renovating accommodation. We expect you to have some general practical abilities, and we will give you training in specialist areas.
Required Skills
Do you know the difference between a claw hammer and a mallet? Can you weld a pipe, fit a shower, lay bricks and plaster a dry wall? Do you want to add to your set of skills and experience, serving God in one of the world's great mission bases?
ZavCentre, on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium is the first building OM ever owned. It was built in the 1870s as a paper factory, and has served many purposes. OM in Belgium is seeking to meet the needs of the missions world with an online/face-to-face conference centre, respite care for missionaries, and apologetics, church planting and wide evangelism online broadcast straight from the base. The Building, Maintenance and Repair worker will work with the Head of Buildings.
Everyone who is new to OM and has not been part of a similar programme in another organisation will spend their first year as part of Heartbeat, which will include working in their chosen ministry. This includes Bible training, language learning, and introduction to missions life and many opportunities to develop new skills and talents.

* The jobs listed on this website do not have a set salary. This means that the person who applies will need to raise their own support, which is money that they will use to live on. The amount of support money they need to raise will depend on things like where they are from, if they have a family, and what country they will be working in. There might be some jobs that pay salary, but these are rare and would need to be negotiated with the sending offices and the teams you'd like to serve with. If you have any questions about this, please contact your local home office. Always keep in mind that our ministry depends on generous giving from our partners around the globe and God's ongoing provision. Joining OM is always seen as a step of faith and trust in a God who will provide for our needs through his chosen people.
