Journey Overview

OM will partner with Paulton Baptist Church in Bristol.
Paulton, a charming village near Bristol, offers a warm welcoming community, rich in history and natural beauty. Paulton is a wonderful place to visit and to serve. You will have the opportunity to engage in park ministry, bring joy and support to children and their families through outdoor activities and fellowship. Additionally, visiting local care homes offers an opportunity to share the good news and provide companionship to the elderly. Our summer outreach aims to bring joy, companionship, and support through park ministry and visiting care homes.

The arrival is required by 3:00 PM on August 26, 2024. Participants are free to book their departure travel anytime on September 1, 2024, following the Sunday Service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

The team will be staying at the Church Hall. You may be asked to share a room with people of the same sex. You may also be required to bring you own bedding, sleeping bags, sleeping mat, pillows, towels etc.

Will there be food provided?

Food will be provided. However, participants are required to serve themselves for breakfast and lunch. Furthermore, we would appreciate the teams cooperation in taking turns to prepare the evening meal and manage the cleaning duties. This arrangement aims to encourage a spirit of teamwork and shared responsibility among all attendees.

We need to know in advance of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, food allergies, etc)

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Participants are kindly requested to arrange their own transportation to and from the Church. This ensures flexibility and convenience for everyone, allowing each participant to choose the most suitable travel options for their needs.
The 522 and 172 buses travel from Bristol and Bath and stop outside Paulton Baptist Church.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants are expected to generally be in good health and capable of working outdoors. This includes the ability to stand for reasonable periods and to walk between locations. These requirements ensure that all participants can fully engage in and enjoy the activities planned for the event.

Do I need a visa?

EU/EEA, Swiss and UK citizens do not need a visa for this option.
OM UK cannot sponsor any visas, although there is a small chance non-EEA participants may be eligible for a UK Ancestry visa or a Tier 5 Youth mobility visa, depending on their circumstance. Please check with us if you think this is a possibility. No other visas, including Visitor visas, are suitable.
