As Jesus followers, we want to see people from east and west, north and south take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.
In the gospels, we see Jesus frequently sharing meals with others. Whether it was the Last Supper, feeding the 5,000, or dining with sinners and tax collectors, Jesus regularly engaged, taught and built relationships with people over a meal. Following His example, OM workers create opportunities where people can come together, share a meal and experience the transformative power of fellowship.
Conversations flow naturally around a meal table and OM workers often find that a shared meal can lead to topics of a heavenly nature

Fatima left her home in Syria to protect her family from war. She soon found a Community Centre distributing food weekly to refugees. Fatima went each week to collect food and stayed to receive prayer.

Serving at the table
One spring morning, one deaf family walked from their relative's house to OM’s soup kitchen and they found a restored hope in serving and loving those who had come to the table.
